DESCRIPTION:2012 Camp Forms\n\nCamp Mission\n\n\nThe mission of the Midwest
  Hemophilia Wilderness Camp is to provide campers with a safe camping expe
 rience and the\nopportunity to meet other young people with rare bleeding 
 disorders.\n\nIn collaboration with the Kansas City Regional Hemophilia Tr
 eatment Center\, campers will receive onsite medical care and education re
 lated to Hemophilia\, other bleeding disorders.\n\nCampers will have the o
 pportunity to meet new friends or renew old friendships\, and participate 
 in a variety of traditional camp\nactivities including fishing\, biking\, 
 swimming\,  and crafts.\nCounselors\nWilderness camp counselors must have
  two references and pass a thorough background check.  They must be 21 or
  older and\nphysically able to accept the responsibility of caring for the
  campers.\nCamp Medical Staff\nWilderness Camp medical support is provided
  by Kansas City Regional Hemophilia Treatment Center at Children’s Mercy
  Hospital.  The hospital will provide on-site medical and nursing personn
 el to perform first aid\, factor infusions and medication administration a
 s needed.  Personnel will include physicians\, fellows\, medical resident
 s\, advanced practice nurses\, registered nurses and pharmacists.\nEmergen
 cy Services\nYour child’s safety is priority one.  Local ambulance and 
 emergency service providers are made aware of the location of the campgrou
 nd and the dates for the camp.  Helicopter transport has also been secure
 d for immediate transfer to Children’s Mercy Hospital.\n\nFor additional
