 registrations/\n\nCamp Mission\n\nThe mission of the MHA Summer Camp at th
 e Wilderness Retreat and Development Center is to provide campers with a s
 afe camping experience and the opportunity to meet other young people with
  rare bleeding disorders.\n\nIn collaboration with the Kansas City Regiona
 l Hemophilia Treatment Center\, campers will receive onsite medical care a
 nd education related to Hemophilia\, other bleeding disorders.\n\nCampers 
 will have the opportunity to meet new friends or renew old friendships\, a
 nd participate in a variety of traditional camp\nactivities including fish
 ing\, biking\, swimming\,  and crafts.\nCounselors\nWilderness Camp Couns
 elors must have two references and pass a thorough background check.  The
 y must be 21 or older and\nphysically able to accept the responsibility of
  caring for the campers.\nCamp Medical Staff\nWilderness Camp medical supp
 ort is provided by Kansas City Regional Hemophilia Treatment Center at Chi
 ldren’s Mercy Hospital.  The hospital will provide on-site medical and 
 nursing personnel to perform first aid\, factor infusions and medication a
 dministration as needed.  Personnel will include physicians\, fellows\, m
 edical residents\, advanced practice nurses\, registered nurses and pharma
 cists.\nEmergency Services\nYour child’s safety is priority one.  Local
  ambulance and emergency service providers are made aware of the location 
 of the campground and the dates for the camp.  Helicopter transport has a
 lso been secured for immediate transfer to Children’s Mercy Hospital.\n\
