SUMMARY:Virtual Kansas Advocacy Town Hall Meeting & Training (Session 2) -
  - 24 Feb 26 18:30
DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin the Midwest Hemophilia Association (MHA) for a two-par
t Virtual Kansas Advocacy Town Hall &amp\; Training designed to empower i
ndividuals and families affected by bleeding disorders to confidently shar
e their stories and advocate for better access to care.\n\nDuring these in
teractive sessions\, we will briefly review key findings from our recent c
ommunity survey and invite participants to share the real-life barriers t
o treatment and care they have experienced in Kansas. These firsthand per
spectives help shape our advocacy priorities and strengthen our message to
policymakers.\n\nThe training will also prepare attendees for Kansas Adv
 ocacy Day\, taking place March 18\, 2026\, in Topeka\, KS. Participants w
ill receive guidance on how to effectively communicate with legislators\,
understand advocacy talking points\, and feel comfortable telling their pe
rsonal bleeding disorder story.\n\nThis is a fun\, supportive\, and engagi
ng program where each participant will walk away with a completed—or st
rong draft—of their personal advocacy story to share with their legisla
tor(s) during Advocacy Day (or for future advocacy events &amp\; opportuni
ties).\n\nImportant Note:\nIndividuals who attend the virtual training wil
l be eligible to receive a travel grant for Kansas Advocacy Day (to be h
eld in person on March 18\, 2026 in Topeka\, KS)\, including gas reimburs
ement and a one-night hotel stay\, to help ensure everyone who wants to pa
rticipate can do so.\n\nWhether you are new to advocacy or returning to th
e Statehouse\, this training is a valuable first step in making your voice
heard and helping improve access to care for the bleeding disorders commu
nity in Kansas.\n\nRegistration is for Session 2 (Feb 24). \n\n\n\nA zoom
link will be emailed to you once you've completed the form.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n
