2019 National Conference for Women with Hemophilia

Please RSVP to MHAevents@midwesthemophilia.org

Applications open July 23, 2019.

The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan (HFM) is pleased and excited to host the 2019 National Conference for Women with Hemophilia, Being Visible: Hear Our Voices. Being Visible is an educational conference for women and teen girls, with broad geographic representation from around the country.

Those who are eligible to join us will experience an amazing weekend learning from national expert health care providers, and have opportunities to connect with other attendees who each bring their own unique wisdom and experience of living with hemophilia. There is NO CHARGE for this weekend.

We invite teen girls and women to apply for the conference who meet the following qualifications:

  • Have a diagnosis of hemophilia A or B, or are a carrier, or;
  • Have a family history of hemophilia A or B and have bleeding symptoms such as heavy periods, easy bruising, or experiences with bleeding complications after dental work, surgery, or childbirth

Last year’s conference was the first of its kind in the United States and 103 women from 32 states attended; we expect a larger number of attendees from across the country to attend this year.
