Kick off your afternoon with a fun-filled game of Family Feud: Bleeding Disorders Edition, with prizes, presented by Jeanette Jones, BioMatrix Representative.

Then, be encouraged and inspired with Krissy, Common Factors Advocate, as she delves into the topic of “Building Your Support System.”

Krissy’s heartfelt journey as a mother of a child with hemophilia is a testament to the power of community and family. Her experience is filled with both challenges and triumphs, underpinned by the unwavering support of her husband and the broader network she cultivated. Initially overwhelmed by her son Brody’s diagnosis, Krissy found her footing through active participation in local chapters and online groups for mothers in similar situations. These connections provided her with invaluable insights and shared experiences, empowering her to help Brody achieve greater independence in managing his healthcare.

Despite ongoing questions about Brody’s future, such as preparing him for driving and when to disclose his condition to others, Krissy’s robust support system equips her to navigate these challenges with confidence.
