Every year, CSL Behring hosts the Getting in the Game Junior National Championship – the first national sports competition for children with bleeding disorders.

Participants have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of their respective sport, participate in friendly competition, and have a chance to connect with fellow members of the bleeding disorders community from across the country.

Additionally, educational seminars focusing on the importance of physical fitness and other related topics will be available on site. More information can be found here.

This year, MHA can send 2 participants from our coverage area (Kansas and western Missouri) diagnosed with a bleeding disorder to the JNC.

The Junior National Championship will be held from May 1-3, 2026 in Henderson, Nevada. This event is for children ages 7 through 18, to represent MHA during this national competition. Each participant will have the opportunity to choose either basketball, baseball, golf, or swimming for this year’s JNC. CSL will cover the cost of transportation and lodging from the participant and their parent/guardian from the Midwest Hemophilia Association community.

Names must be submitted using the link below by Monday, December 1, 2025, Midnight (CST). Nominees will be selected using an electronic lottery system called “The Wheel of Names” – a digital platform that randomly selects a name.
Winners will be announced on December 15, 2026 via email & MHA’s Facebook page.

Only ONE child per family will be selected as a representative for the chapter. If one family member is randomly selected by the “wheel of names”, all other family members will be removed from the selection process.
