Update: MHA Camp Wilderness

Hello!
I am Luke Saulsberry, Camp Director for MHA’s Camp Wilderness. I wanted to reach out to you so I can provide an update regarding Camp Wilderness 2020.
We initially cancelled Camp Wilderness for a number of reasons, primarily the logistics of executing camp with the current situation was extremely difficult, near impossible. Additionally, there were significant shortages in camper and staff registrations.
After the initial cancellation the camp committee started to think about different ways that we could still reach out to our bleeding disorder community and more specifically those campers who would miss their best week ever this summer.
After a lot of discussion, the camp committee has decided on a couple opportunities to hopefully keep the camp spirit alive. The first is  Camp Wilderness Care Packages will be sent to each of the campers. The care packages will include modified activities that campers can do while at home. The care packages will also include a Camp T-Shirt. Lastly, we are including different ways that the camper can practice self care with their bleeding disorder. Our goal is that parents/guardians will share their campers experience to our social media pages so that we can see all of our campers at their satellite Camp Wilderness locations.
If you would like for your camp-aged child(ren) to receive a Camp Wilderness Care Package, please click on the link below by August 1, 2020.
