Virtual Kansas Advocacy Town Hall Meeting & Training (Session 2)

Virtual Kansas Advocacy Town Hall Meeting & Training (Session 2)

When

02/24/2026
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Event Type

Join the Midwest Hemophilia Association (MHA) for a two-part Virtual Kansas Advocacy Town Hall & Training designed to empower individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders to confidently share their stories and advocate for better access to care.

During these interactive sessions, we will briefly review key findings from our recent community survey and invite participants to share the real-life barriers to treatment and care they have experienced in Kansas. These firsthand perspectives help shape our advocacy priorities and strengthen our message to policymakers.

The training will also prepare attendees for Kansas Advocacy Day, taking place March 18, 2026, in Topeka, KS. Participants will receive guidance on how to effectively communicate with legislators, understand advocacy talking points, and feel comfortable telling their personal bleeding disorder story.

This is a fun, supportive, and engaging program where each participant will walk away with a completed—or strong draft—of their personal advocacy story to share with their legislator(s) during Advocacy Day (or for future advocacy events & opportunities).

Important Note:
Individuals who attend the virtual training will be eligible to receive a travel grant for Kansas Advocacy Day (to be held in person on March 18, 2026 in Topeka, KS), including gas reimbursement and a one-night hotel stay, to help ensure everyone who wants to participate can do so.

Whether you are new to advocacy or returning to the Statehouse, this training is a valuable first step in making your voice heard and helping improve access to care for the bleeding disorders community in Kansas.

Registration is for Session 2 (Feb 24).

A zoom link will be emailed to you once you’ve completed the form.
